Haven't posted for over a month, because of family health--mental and physical--issues.  Some are getting resolved, others are in the process.  We need tefilot and good thoughts from our friends and acquaintences, and support.  I am overwhelmed by the support we have received up to now--thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your help in getting our son over here to visit us at this trying time.  But it's not over yet. There are bills and expenses unpaid as of yet, and more of our adult children who need to visit. But that's for another post and appeal. I miss blogging. Commenting on Facebook is not quite the same, although I love the medium for keeping in touch and interacting (even though it's in cyberspace) with my friends and acquaintences.  So I'm starting up again, even though my patience is worn thin, and somewhere deep in my brain I fight the urge that considers it utter batlanut - a total waste of time.  But so be it. Please read my previous post first.  This is sort of a sequel to it: Saudi Arabian Islamic women are fighting being 'enslaved,' as it were, by filing lawsuits against the government from preventing them from driving cars.  I firmly believe that certain totalitarian religions will eventually implode.

Here I am, beating you over the head with the TRUTH...again (well, somebody's gotta do it). Rabbi David Bar-Hayim of Machon Shilo states what other wise people (think Pat Condell, Brigitte Gabriel and others) are not afraid to say: Islam is barbaric.  Islam is primitive.  Islam is NOT the "religion of peace."  Take note.

Even after this horrific, barbaric murder of a British soldier in London, the fact that it was another jihadist atrocity was not emphasized. Even Tony Blair, who actually was forced to feebly state that there is a "problem within Islam ," tempered it with " Of course there are Christian extremists and Jewish, Buddhist and Hindu ones."  He's kidding, right? When was the last time a Christian,  Jew, Buddhist or Hindu viciously attacked someone, stabbed him to death and beheaded him in the name of Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism or Buddhism? Leave it to Pat Condell to call a spade, a spade.  People, listen to him:  this is what it is, and if you don't speak out against it--then you're for it .  Simple as pie. There is a serious problem unfolding within religious Judaism, which seem very apparent to non-observant Jews, but which many observant Jews are afraid to address. It boils down to the rapid movement towards a Sharia-like fundamentalism prevalent in the Ultra-Orthodox and even in some more modern Orthodox Jewish communities. Non - observant Jews cry out against what is happening, because they see these fringe and not-so-fringe groups of Ultra-Orthodox as representing all Jews, or maybe it's more correct to say all observant Jews.  And they use these terrible behaviors--and I do believe they are terrible--to reinforce their secular way of life, and to reinforce their rejection of the Jewish religion as "fanatic."   As my blog description states, my blog is sometimes "stream-of-consciousness," and topically is all over the place. Tonight, I want to share with you another of Pat Condell's inimitable vidoes.  He has the courage to state what many of us are thinking, but are afraid to say.   And if this labels me as an " Islamophobe ," so be it.

Pamela in her blog Atlas Shrugs wrote about a new reality show on The Learning Channel about an All-American Muslim family.  She noted that Alyssa Rosenberg, culture reporter for ThinkProgress.org advocates watching the show to counter "Islamophobia," because the show depicts ordinary Muslim-American just trying to live their lives and 'balance their faith' with being American.  When was the last time you saw a reality show depicting an Orthodox Jewish family, 'just trying to balance their faith and nationality' living in the United States? Thank you to Arlene Kushner for sending the link to this video.  I have written about Wafa Sultan before, way back in 2006, here .  This religion is what the liberal fools of the world want to tolerate, and they call anyone who speaks his or her mind expressing fear of someone in Muslim garb--case in point: Juan Williams , subsequently fired from NPR radio-- a "bigot." Thanks to Arlene from Israel I learned about a certain rabbi's sermon that was given in Atlanta, Georgia, which really hit the mark as far as recognizing that "giant elephant in the room" to which no one ever refers.
