Israel Sending Humanitarian Aid to Others--Again

Israel, tiny in land mass but huge in ethics and morality, is again in the forefront of nations sending aid to stricken countries in need of help.  Most recently to Haiti after its devastating earthquake in 2010 and now, to Japan, after the magnitude 8.9 quake and tsunami which hit northern Japan today and rolled across the Pacific.  Haaretz, a major Israeli daily newspaper, reported that a ZAKA international rescue team will fly out to Japan after the end of Shabbat, the Jewish Sabbath, to help in search and rescue efforts to save as many lives as possible.  They will be joined by the ZAKA team based in Hong Kong, after the end of Shabbat in their region. ZAKA is a volunteer, humanitarian organization in Israel known for its rescue work after terrorist attacks and disasters in Israel. It is also recognized by the United Nations. The Islam You Want to Tolerate So Generously--Won't Tolerate YOU

Thank you to Arlene Kushner for sending the link to this video.  I have written about Wafa Sultan before, way back in 2006, here .  This religion is what the liberal fools of the world want to tolerate, and they call anyone who speaks his or her mind expressing fear of someone in Muslim garb--case in point: Juan Williams , subsequently fired from NPR radio-- a "bigot." More power to brave people such as Geert Wilders and Wafa Sultan .  May they enlighten us all, before it's too late.

Daniel Schorr Dead at 93

Image
(nablopomo day 23) Our alarm clock and radio is set to automatically turn on to NPR (National Public Radio) early every morning, including weekends.  Even though that radio station is biased against Israel and is pro-Palestinian, it still was, for me, the most if not only intelligent radio station on the airwaves.  I looked forward every week to hearing long-time reporter Daniel Schorr's analysis of U. S. and world events, just before our radio shut itself off at 7:30 a.m. We will no longer be hearing that weekly interview.  Daniel Schorr, son of Russian Jewish immigrants and former Watergate reporter who, for tough reporting while working for CBS managed to get himself on president Nixon's "enemies" list,  has died today.  He was ninety-three years old.  We will miss his weekly erudite analyses, which he gave on National Public Radio, incredibly almost up to the time of his death. Barch Dayan ha-Emet.
