An Israeli probe into the raid of a Turkish "peace" flotilla last May concluded that Israel was within its bounds in the manner in which it boarded the Mavi Marmara, although it resulted in nine Turks on the ship being killed.  A good part of the European community had censured Israel for what it called its use of excessive force in the boarding of the ship. What Israel had actually encountered when boarding were members of the Turkish IHH on board who attacked the Israeli soldiers with guns, knives and metal bars. The commission said Israeli troops "encountered extreme violence" when they boarded the Turkish-flagged Mavi Marmara, a ferry carrying around 600 people that led the six-ship flotilla. A group of activists from the Turkish Islamist IHH organisation on board the ship "used firearms against the soldiers during the hostilities," the report said, repeating an allegation denied by the activists. What we have known all along about Israel's actions being self-defense in the incident of the Gaza "Peace" Flotilla has now been confirmed, by a surprisingly very balanced report by the BBC's  documentary show, Panorama, as written on Honest Reporting UK .  This BBC report indicates, from videos, radio transmissions and interviews of members of the Turkish IHH (-who openly stated that they wished to be martyrs and that the Israelis should "go back to Auschwitz"), of other passengers on board, and of soldiers in the elite Israeli Naval Commando 13 who boarded the ship--what really happened on the Mavi Marmara on 31 May, 2010.

(nablopomo day 18) If anything, this LatmaTV video (hat tip, Batya ) is better and more cutting than their previous one about the Turkish-terrorist-flotilla called "We Con the World."  YouTube removed that one upon the pretext that it was a case of copyright infringement.  This is untrue.  Read the true background about this on Caroline Glick's blog ,  and see why YouTube (owned by Google, by the way) committed its cowardly act.  Perhaps we should hit Google where it hurts: in the pocketbook, if this keeps up.  I wonder how many pro-Israel, anti-terrorist videos YouTube would remove then? It is so odd that Jews, great at public relations and marketing in the private sector, haven't been able to 'market' the truth about itself being right and good, and Islam's being wrong and evil.  With these videos, maybe, just maybe--the world will begin to 'see the light.' (nablopomo day 17) Congressman Mike Pence, speaking at the House with regard to recognizing the Turkish massacre of the Armenians , has the courage to speak up about the flotilla incident and question Obama's attitude.  Whose side is president Obama on? The wrong side, which will bring the world instability and war, not  justice and peace.  President Obama is no friend to Israel.  And sadly, no friend to a strong and moral America.

 (nablopomo day 7) This was apparently published in the English language Turkish newspaper Hurriyet on Sunday.  The video shows that the IDF was viciously attacked and three commandos seriously wounded by the Islamist terrorists who were among the passengers--most of which passengers were not involved, but in their stupidity and naive ideology were there with the terrorists, probably believing their lies about Israel. It is terrible that possibly some innocents were killed in the IDF retaliatory attack.  But you need to remember this: If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas.  And sometimes, you might not get up .  So choose carefully...

(nablopomo day 4) Okay, I have to get away from this computer (BAD computer! BAD computer!) and start preparing for Shabbat: not much to do, as D.H. is doing most of the cooking, the house is clean (Baruch Hashem), the beds are made, and we will defrost my home-baked challah soon.  I do have laundry to do, and some weeding in our vegetable garden (will post about that at a later date).  I spoke to my older son (Arnold Mayergi and his lovely wife Hardal, due b'ezrat Hashem this month!!!) and everything is well, thank G-d.
