Latma: Getting Better and Better (Know Your Sarcasm)

Latma TV is producing more sophisticated and satirical videos these days.  Ridiculing everything from Europe's' not facing the truth about their increasing terrorism by radical Muslims to the president of Israel, Shimon Peres, Latma has outdone itself. Hat tip to Batya at Shiloh Musings for posting it.

May We All Have a New Year of Health, Happiness, and True Peace

For Rosh Hashana I am posting this Latma TV video--have to bake my challot and my D.H. and I have to cook up a storm.  I wish all my readers (and also those who are not!) a Ktivah ve-Chatimah Tovah: may you be written and sealed for a good year. Shanah Tovah, everyone!

Upbeat, Hopeful New Year Video from LatmaTV

Have you ever seen a video such as this Israeli one: hoping and praying for a good, peaceful year--coming from the Arab sector? If you have, please send me the link.  'Cause I haven't.  Ever. Gmar Chatimah Tovah*. *Gmar Chatimah Tovah: May you be sealed (in the book of life) for a good year.

Satire Illustrating the Truth-Another Latma TV Beauty

For some reason, I keep posting stuff ("stuff" is such a pithy word, isn't it?) a week after it's first published.  Must be because I live in space, not time.  Just like my mother (a'h). This Latma TV video, among other things, illustrates beautifully what the situation would be like if Israel continued the construction freeze, and shows how respectful and ecumenical these peaceniks are to the 'noble' Palestinians and their values. (Let's face it. Geert Wilder was right: our culture is better.)

No Peace for the Victims of Peace

Haven't had the time to post, but at least I can alert you to the latest Jewish Blog Carnival, Haveil Havalim #290, which is now live at Frume Sarah's blog. And I can leave you with Latma TV's latest parody (or maybe it's not the latest, but it sure spoke to me) on that famous, well-known Israeli peace song,  Shir LaShalom (A Song to Peace).  This is the real "peace" we've had until now.  Because there is no true partner for peace: a 'partner' who refuses to even recognize Israel as a legitimate State, and who gives speeches in Arabic to its peoples promoting violence against Israelis, is not a peace partner.

Yup. It's Obama's Fantasy Land

I'm probably the last one who saw this (it's at least a week old today), but it's good enough to post, even late.  And some of my readers may not have seen this, so here for your pleasure is Latma TV's latest sarcastic video, "Obama's Underwater Fantasy." The only place Israel could be accepted by the world to have a state of its own.  Right.  You should live so long.

Shlomit's Sukkah (Israel) is to Blame for Ruining the "Peace"

We are in the midst of the beautiful harvest holiday of Sukkot.  I wanted to upload some pics of our sukkah this year, but with a three-day Yom Tov (Holy days) time and exhaustion (and working in between) did not yet permit.  Instead, I found this: There is an Israeli children's song called "Shlomit Bonah Sukkah," meaning a little girl named Shlomit (from the root 'shalom,' peace) is building a sukkah--that temporary hut we build to eat and sleep in for the holiday of sukkot, ongoing now.  Latma TV has now used that song in a sarcastic video showing how Shlomit's sukkah--euphemism for Israel--is to blame for ruining the "peace," while the world just looks the other way at the real Jew-haters, war-mongers and terrorists.

"The Three Terrors" - Another LatmaTV* Masterpiece

(nablopomo day 18) If anything, this LatmaTV video (hat tip, Batya ) is better and more cutting than their previous one about the Turkish-terrorist-flotilla called "We Con the World."  YouTube removed that one upon the pretext that it was a case of copyright infringement.  This is untrue.  Read the true background about this on Caroline Glick's blog ,  and see why YouTube (owned by Google, by the way) committed its cowardly act.  Perhaps we should hit Google where it hurts: in the pocketbook, if this keeps up.  I wonder how many pro-Israel, anti-terrorist videos YouTube would remove then? It is so odd that Jews, great at public relations and marketing in the private sector, haven't been able to 'market' the truth about itself being right and good, and Islam's being wrong and evil.  With these videos, maybe, just maybe--the world will begin to 'see the light.' Underneath the latest parody, I am re-embedding "We Con the World," in ...

A Little Sarcasm is a GOOD Thing

(nablopomo day 4) Okay, I have to get away from this computer (BAD computer! BAD computer!) and start preparing for Shabbat: not much to do, as D.H. is doing most of the cooking, the house is clean (Baruch Hashem), the beds are made, and we will defrost my home-baked challah soon.  I do have laundry to do, and some weeding in our vegetable garden (will post about that at a later date).  I spoke to my older son (Arnold Mayergi and his lovely wife Hardal, due b'ezrat Hashem this month!!!) and everything is well, thank G-d. So I would like to end this week with a video worth watching, and a T-shirt worth printing.  I wish all my readers a warm Shabbat Shalom, and for those of you who are not obligated to observe the Sabbath, have a great weekend! (T-shirt found here .)

Afraid to Name the Enemy? Take it Away, Latma TV

I've written before about the U.S. being afraid to name its enemy, the enemy of the Free West: radical Islam, and none other. To reiterate, if we continue to do this, we will lose this war (G-d forbid). Here's how LatmaTV (thank you Caroline Glick ) views the American response to the Islamic Jihadist terrorist massacre at Ft. Hood. America, take note, and act accordingly.

Screwy U.S. Airline Security Measures-Ripe for Satire

Have I written about US airport security measures versus the Israeli ones before, such as maybe here , and here (does the sun come up every morning?)? Well, unless you live under a rock, you know that it's happened again. A Kentucky bound US Airways Express flight was diverted to Philadelphia, because a 17-year old Jewish teen was, uh, praying on the plane while wearing his tefillin (called phylacteries in English) and a passenger reported him to the flight crew. Well, but of course--Jews always hijack airplanes, shoot up soldiers and civilians at army bases while yelling Allahu Akbar and plant explosives in their underwear. Which is why this boy, traveling with his 16-year old sister from White Plains to Kentucky was suspect as a terrorist, right? These American knee-jerk reactions (emphasis on "jerk ") to perceived threats indicates that there is very little logic or reason behind these 'security measures,' but wait--here is an interview on Israeli's ...
