People were trying to verify this to make sure that Obama is eligible.

This is not racism, nor is it akin to the Protocols (which you had mentioned), which is a pack of lies based on nothing but antisemitism; this question was based on the birth certificate which Obama presented, which was not the long-form authentic one.

I also said in my post that FactCheck seems to have proved that he was born in the United States.

I do not consider this "lashon hara;" I personally believe in 'government in the sunshine,' where meetings, statements and decisions can be scrutinized by the media and the public.

If the prohibition against 'lashon hara' refers to gossip, I agree with it; this situation is not 'gossip.' It is an attempt to discover the truth.Lady-Lighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04992305067771885711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24229062.post-21916568949807394962009-08-09T09:13:33.892-06:002009-08-09T09:13:33.892-06:00As a Jew, this sort of suspicion makes me very unc...As a Jew, this sort of suspicion makes me very uncomfortable. By suggesting that Obama's birth certificate is fake, and spreading it on the web, we are guilty of (excuse the term) massive lashon harah. By hinting, as some do, that he is just a Muslim plotting to help his Arab friends take hold of the USA we are doing just what the Russians did to us by writing the Protocol of the Elders of Zion. It is just something I don't understand and can't agree with.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
